A Mother's Story - Made Possible by Research
At just 30 years old, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. It was aggressive, and it had already spread beyond my breast. In that moment, my world changed—but thanks to research, my story became one of possibility.
Because of groundbreaking, donor-funded research, I received targeted treatments that have helped me stay cancer-free for over five years. I’m living proof of the power of research. And while I’ll need treatment for life, I get to make more memories with my husband and our two children, Lincoln and Lilah.
Metastatic breast cancer remains incurable, and that’s why I’m so grateful for Breast Cancer Canada. They’re funding the next generation of research—research that gives families more time, more memories, and more possibility.
With Mother’s Day around the corner, I’m reminded how precious every moment is. Your support makes these moments possible.
Please give today – and give more mothers the gift of time.
